Community groups are key partners with the North East CMA, helping carry out much of the natural resource management work taking place across the catchment. There are many ways to get involved with any of these groups.
For those of you who like to get your hands dirty, events like working bees, tree-planting days and community events are lots of fun while doing something practical for the environment. The Victorian Landcare Gateway lists upcoming group events and activities as well as information on the groups and their projects.
The North East CMA produces regular newsletters and updates listing the latest news and upcoming community events, so if you wish to receive these, please use the Contact Us form, noting you wish to subscribe to newsletters.
And if you'd rather keep your hands clean, there are plenty of support roles that need volunteers to fill them, including book keeping, event planning, mapping, record keeping, fund raising and more.
If you have special skills and would like to contribute to supporting a community group or the environment, Landcare and related community groups can use a wide range of skills to assist their projects and operations.
There is more information on how to find your local Landcare or related group in the Find A Group Solutions Page.
For information on achievements of Landcare and related groups, and how the CMA supports the groups, see the Landcare Page.
