Bob Shaffer is a consultant for the largest recycled food scrap compost operation in the USA.
Bob will present in the classroom followed by an afternoon in the paddock looking at the application of various methods of soil management for sustainable, productive, profitable farms.
He will discuss strategies including the use of cover crops, addressing mineral issues from a whole-farm perspective including soil biology, soil physics and how the cover crop interrelates with food production and quality.
