Wangaratta Flood Study Community Update postponed due to current flooding and demands on emergency services.
North East Catchment Management Authority (CMA) wish to advise that the Wangaratta Flood Study Community Update, planned
from 10am Tues 4 October at Wangaratta Performing Arts Centre has been postponed.
Adam Green, Duty Officer for North East CMA, apologised for any inconvenience postponing the event may have for the community.
"Current flood levels and forecast conditions for the next few days will be the priority for ourselves and partner agencies including
VICSES and local Government" said Adam "we are disappointed that we have to postpone the community update, however it's
extremely important for staff and community to put their efforts into monitoring and managing the current flood situation"
"Conditions will be monitored over the coming weeks and a new date will be set at a later stage," said Adam.
