Precision Agriculture

19 January 2018

Precision Viticulture is helping King Valley grape growers gain a spatial understanding of their vineyards. The King Valley has up to eight different soil types which rapidly changes within a short distance. Precision Viticulture gathers GPS derived data, such as the EM38 soil mapping process, which can be used to determine the highest quality pockets of soil to produce the highest quality wine. This project was supported by North East CMA through funding from the Australian Government's National Landcare Program.
