Partnership to benefit native fish in Ovens River

Goulburn-Murray Water (GMW) and the North East Catchment Management Authority (CMA) have partnered to deliver a $2.5 million project to construct a rock ramp fishway on the Ovens River, at the Tea Garden Weir, near Everton.


Saving Victoria's most threatened birds

Trust for Nature and the North East Catchment Management Authority (CMA) have announced recipients of the second round of environmental grants through the Bush for Birds project.

Bush for Birds is funded by the Australian Government’s National Landcare Program and aims to protect, manage, and increase habitat on private land for the critically endangered Regent Honeyeater and Swift Parrot.


2021 Victorian Landcare Grants Now Open

Volunteers helping to protect and restore Victoria’s land and environment can now apply for a funding boost, thanks to the Victorian Government.

Minister for Energy, Environment and Climate Change, Lily D’Ambrosio has opened the latest round of the Victorian Landcare Grants, with $2.55 million funding available to Landcare and environmental volunteering groups.

 


Alpine ecology workshop a big hit at Dinner Plain

Community interest in alpine ecology ran high at Dinner Plain as more than 50 people participated in the Alpine Ecology Workshop hosted by Benambra-Dinner Plain-Omeo (BDPO) Landcare Group, Mount Hotham Alpine Resort and the North East Catchment Management Authority (CMA) at the Dinner Plain Community Hall on 1 May.
