Working for Victoria (WFV) is a state government initiative responding to the COVID pandemic. It is designed to help jobseekers find work across Victoria.
NECMA has employed three teams, based in Corryong, Omeo and Wodonga as part of the Working for Victoria program. These teams have been working with organisations including Landcare, Trust for Nature, Parklands Albury Wodonga and Workways, as well as with private landholders.
Team members have been undertaking a range of support work for landholders, as well as conservation work on public land. Works have included creating new fence lines and fence restoration, undertaking woody weed control along waterways and protecting revegetation zones.
