Biodiversity Bushfire Recovery Grants in North East Victoria
The 2019-2020 Victorian bushfires have been exceptional in size and impact.
Additional funding has been provided by the Victorian Government in response to the impact of the 2019-20 bushfires for the Biodiversity Bushfire Recovery Grants.
These grants will support bushfire recovery activities for communities affected by fire in the North East, East Gippsland and Glenelg Hopkins Catchment Management Areas.
Funding
A total of $900,000 is available across the three regions. Successful applicants’ projects can receive up to:
- $10,000 for private landholders (Stream 1)
- $30,000 for environmental volunteer groups (Stream 2)
- $50,000 for environmental volunteer networks (Stream 3)
Key Dates
On 12 October 2020, the Victorian Government has announced the recipients of the Biodiversity Bushfire Recovery Grants.
There have been 22 projects allocated $350,840 in the North East Catchment Management Authority region including:
- Stream 1 - $116,579
- Stream 2 - $134,371
- Stream 3 - $99,890
Applications closed: 5.00pm Monday 20 July 2020
Project completed and final report submitted: Friday 31 December 2021
